The research group of Professor Dr Kay Hofmann works on the evolution of cellular defenses against pathogens, with a focus on regulated cell death and ubiquitination pathways. The advertised position is part of the DFG-funded research network SFB1403 “Cell Death in Immunity, Inflammation and Disease“, which includes more than 20 highly-active research groups studying all aspects of cell death in animals and plants.
